Bus crashes into tree in Berlin-Neukölln: Eleven injured

A bus crashed into a tree in Berlin - eleven people were injured, one of them life-threatening.

Three people suffered serious injuries and seven minor injuries, the fire department said. The police had previously spoken of 15 injuries.

According to initial findings, the bus hit the tree in the Neukölln district on Saturday evening. A person was trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by the fire department. Emergency services treated the injured and took them to hospitals. Photos from the fire department showed the yellow bus on the sidewalk on the left side of the street in the direction of Parchimer Allee.

There were initially no details about the cause of the accident. The road was reopened early this morning. The fire department was on site with 65 emergency services.
