Mass poisoning at a birthday party in the Moscow region: two died

In Solnechnogorsk, near Moscow, a birthday celebration ended in mass poisoning. Two guests did not survive, six more were hospitalized with a diagnosis of acute poisoning by an unknown substance. The incident became known on the afternoon of Saturday, June 27.

The situation is under the control of the Moscow region prosecutor's office. Currently, prosecutors are establishing the circumstances of the incident. Final conclusions about the causes of poisoning will be made based on the results of pre-investigation checks and forensic medical examinations.

Partygoers may have been poisoned by drugs

A group of friends celebrated a birthday in a cottage. During the holiday, one of the guests suggested trying white powder. After using illegal substances, everyone lost consciousness. The 20-year-old girl was the first to wake up and call emergency services. The doctors who arrived to the call confirmed the death of two young people, the rest of the victims were hospitalized.

According to preliminary information, a fatal mistake of young people could have led to death and mass poisoning - instead of mephedrone, they used methadone, which was sold to them under the guise of the first.

The dead turned out to be athletes from another region

Two athletes from Bryansk became victims of poisoning at a birthday celebration in Solnechnogorsk near Moscow. One of them is a graduate of the Dynamo Bryansk football club Timur, the second is boxer Mirzabek. They were both 26 years old.

Doctors assess the condition of the four victims as serious. They are provided with the necessary medical care. Two more victims refused hospitalization and left medical facilities.

A criminal case was opened into the death of two people as a result of poisoning in the Moscow region. The investigation is being conducted under Article 109 (“Causing death by negligence”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The department clarified that the cause of death of young people as a result of poisoning is considered to be their use of drugs.
