The Governor of the Krasnodar Territory met with the winners of the All-Russian Summer Universiade

KRASNODAR, September 22 – RIA Novosti. Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev met with the winners of the X All-Russian Summer Universiade, the press service of the Kuban administration told reporters.

The event was held at the Kuban State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, and was attended by coaches and athletes, as well as Vice-Governor Alexander Agibalov, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Krasnodar Territory Dmitry Novakh, and Rector of KSUFKST Sultan Akhmetov.

“Veniamin Kondratiev met with the winners of the X All-Russian Summer Universiade. The All-Russian Summer Universiade was held in Saransk. As part of the KSUFKST, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestlers, boxers and handball players won gold awards. The women’s handball team won silver. The men’s rugby-7 team won bronze in sambo and table tennis,” - the press service told reporters.

The governor noted that the Kuban team confirmed its status as the country's leading sports region for the fifth time.

“The team of the Kuban State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism became the best. This high result is your personal and at the same time a victory for the entire Kuban. This is an indicator of the high-quality and effective training system that we are building across the entire region,” Kondratyev said during the meeting.
