Media representatives from many countries who participated in the Asia-Pacific Media High-end Forum’s city visit stopped at the bridge’s viewing platform to record the magnificent moments of this super project.

Standing on the viewing platform of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, John Wallace, executive director of the Australia Asia-Pacific News Center, praised: The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge not only demonstrates superb technology and engineering strength, but also promotes the pattern and vision of regional integrated development - "It is a very valuable initiative."

On the same day, foreign media representatives entered Zhuhai and visited Zhuhai 220 kV Qinyun Substation, Zhuhai Central Building, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and other places to immerse themselves in the vitality of the Greater Bay Area.

As a power hub connecting Guangdong and Macao, the 220 kV Qinyun Substation in Zhuhai, Guangdong is one of the first substations in the country to achieve "fully open atomic power generation". More than 200 intelligent terminals can carry out all-weather autonomous inspections through AI algorithms. At present, the intelligent equipment inspection coverage rate in the station reaches 100%, allowing operation and maintenance personnel to devote more energy to eliminating equipment defects and fault analysis and diagnosis.

"Currently, there are more than 760 inspection points in the entire station. In the past, manual inspections took three hours to complete, but now they can be completed within 10 minutes," said a staff member at the substation.

After arriving at the Zhuhai Central Building from the substation, foreign media representatives took the elevator to the 70th-floor observation hall, which is 320 meters above sea level. Zhuhai Tower is the tallest building in Zhuhai and Macao, with a total height of 330 meters. From the top, you can overlook the geographical pattern where Zhuhai, Macao and Hengqin meet. Sulaiman bin Buyanggu, executive editor of Malaysia's Utusan Borneo newspaper, stared out the window for a long time. In his view, the enlightenment brought by visiting the landmarks of the Greater Bay Area goes beyond the economic level.

“In addition to economic value, the most important thing is humanistic value.” Suleiman bin Buyanggu said that these large-scale projects will inspire countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region to pursue excellence and follow the example of the Greater Bay Area. Talking about the role of media in people-to-people and cultural exchanges, Suleiman bin Buyanggu believes that every media in the Asia-Pacific region should cooperate more, build platforms together, and share more information.

When it comes to regional cooperation under the APEC framework, Felipe Cuadra Campos believes that APEC integrates different economies and cultures. China "is a great host" and the Greater Bay Area combines transportation, technology and environmental protection. "It is a model and shows other regions good practices that can be followed."

Mark Beeson, an adjunct professor at the Australia-China Relations Institute at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia, has been to China many times. He particularly praised China's achievements in poverty reduction and green energy transformation, which he believed had made important contributions to the world.

Talking about the current challenges facing the world, Mark Beeson believes that climate change and artificial intelligence are two major global issues that threaten all mankind and require cooperation from major countries to deal with them.
