New Taipei City mayoral candidate Su Qiaohui of the Democratic Progressive Party has established a Christian support group. Vice President Xiao Meiqin also attended as a church member to cheer Su Qiaohui on. Xiao encouraged Su with the faith spirit of the Presbyterian Church to "burn but not to destroy". In the future, she will face challenges and lead the citizens forward with a firm and indomitable will, take care of the welfare of the citizens, and lead New Taipei to continue to make progress. Xiao also joked that she had announced earlier at the inauguration meeting of the DPP Taipei mayoral candidate Shen Boyang's campaign headquarters that she would not vote for Shen because she (a New Taipei citizen) wanted to vote for Su Qiaohui.

Hundreds of Catholics, Christian friends, as well as pastors and elders from aboriginal, Hakka, Hokkien and other ethnic groups attended the founding meeting of the "Su Qiaohui Christian Support Association" today. Pastor Chen Minghui serves as the president of the support association, elder Huang Zhengdao and national policy consultant Hong Tuanzhang serve as vice presidents, and pastor Omi. Wei Lang also offered blessings to Su Qiaohui. Finally, pastors Peng Zhihong, Huang Zheyan, Zhang Shuoen and others prayed for Su Qiaohui, hoping that Su would lead New Taipei City to usher in a new era at the end of the year. Su Qiaohui said that she has always believed that the change of a city never relies on one person's expertise, but on the enthusiasm of everyone, who stand up together to make the home better. Su emphasized that just like the theme verse chosen by today's pastors, it comes from the book of Nehemiah. Nehemiah led everyone to rebuild their homes because of her sense of mission and responsibility for "home". She must also take responsibility for this land, protect their home, and gather more strength to make New Taipei a better place.

She said that in the past 10 years or so, she has been serving citizens in New Taipei City. She has always upheld justice, love mercy, and humility, and served the society with a sincere attitude. She hopes to help everyone in need and let the power of warmth take care of every corner of society. She also hopes that God's grace will take care of New Taipei and Taiwan. She will keep faith, hope and love, and work hard for this land together.

Xiao Meiqin praised Su Qiaohui for having "many qualities that are better than her." Su Qiaohui's spirit of not being afraid of hard work, being willing to take on responsibilities, and having the courage to contribute has been proven to the public through her actions not only in the 800 days since she officially ran for election, but also during her more than 10 years as a legislator, the public has seen that she has executive power, creativity, and the ability to communicate with the public. She can simplify complex things and lead everyone in the right direction.

Xiao pointed out that Su not only has the warmest heart and can take care of the needs of the public, but also has experienced diverse professions in the Legislative Yuan. He hopes that all brothers and sisters will give Su Qiaohui strength. He also wishes Su that with the spirit of "burn but not destroyed", under the guidance of God, he can gather the strength of everyone and lead New Taipei to usher in a new era.
