Youth Football: Ussi focuses on Viareggio for an Effective Future

Italian youth football has a future to build and the Italian Sports Press Union (USSI) has chosen Viareggio as a symbolic place for joint action to support this sector. An appointment has been set for September 11th at the Principino Congress Center, where the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the USSI had already begun in January with the Italia Sport Summit.

The USSI note underlines the need to "give a future to reality, translate into excellence the beauty that exists in youth football, especially Italian", highlighting how the youth national teams, despite their successes, often find "doors to the top flight barred" for many kids, even within their own clubs.

The project envisages the creation of a "second Charter of Viareggio", as a sign of homage to the historic Charter of 1926, the first act of the federal organization of football. A committee of experts, representing the participants in the Viareggio Cup, has undertaken to "return the showcase of youth football to Italy and the world", starting from this meeting to work towards a "strong, authoritative, winning" Italian football.
