MDB candidate defends technology in public health in Pará after visiting hospital with robotic surgery through SUS

The MDB candidate for the Government of Pará, Hana Ghassan, said this Monday (28) in Belém that she wants to bring more technology to public management and hospital care, defending public-private partnership and technological advancement in the area of ​​health throughout the state.

"We have to bring technology to public management, bring technology to public service and there is nothing better than doing this through health. I usually say that in life we ​​face many daily battles, but when we have health we can handle the rest", he stated.

Hana Ghassan completed her campaign schedule by participating in a visit to the São João de Deus Hospital, located in the Umarizal neighborhood, in Belém. Upon arriving at the hospital unit, the candidate greeted supporters.

Hana followed the agenda of the President of the Republic and candidate for re-election, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), and a delegation from the Ministry of Health. The candidate for vice-governor on the ticket, Dirceu ten Caten (PT), also attended the visit.

During the agenda, the delegation visited the new facilities of the private hospital, which operates with open doors to the Unified Health System (SUS).

The visit took place on the day the first robotic prostate surgery was carried out by the SUS in the North of the country. In the structure set up in front of the hospital, Hana received a Tuna Luso shirt and celebrated technological advances in the public health network.

"I congratulate the advancement in surgeries because today we are taking a step that is a historic step for the state of Pará, for the Amazon, which is robotic surgery through the SUS", declared the candidate.

Hana Ghassan also highlighted the social impact of offering modern, high-tech procedures to the population that depends on public care.

"And you can provide this for the SUS, for those who don't have money... Many times, those who have money can have robotic surgery, and those who don't, didn't have access to it. They didn't have it, from the past verb. From today on, they have access. So, we're all living in this great moment," he said.
