Candidate for the government of Goiás Wilder Morais is interviewed in a hearing

For this round of interviews, candidates with 5% or more voting intentions were chosen in surveys commissioned by TV Anhanguera. Wilder was the second interviewee in the series of hearings with candidates for the government of Goiás that will take place until Wednesday (16).

Wilder Morais started by talking about his First Salary for Young People project, which seeks to encourage young people to enter the job market. Wilder explained what differentiates his program from others in the Young Apprentice format is the obligation to follow certain requirements, such as school attendance.

The candidate also spoke about the Cartão Creche project and said that he intends to encourage businesspeople to send their children to their first education.

Wilder said about a campaign commitment related to urban paving and asphalt renovation. The candidate said he intends to work together with city halls to carry out the work and how he intends to allocate resources to achieve this objective.

The candidate is an advocate of owning and carrying firearms. He stated that he intends to continue defending the expansion of access to firearms for some professions and parts of the population. Wilder stated that he defends the proposal because he believes it is part of the right to self-defense.

Wilder was also asked about his attendance at Senate sessions as a federal senator. The candidate stated that he was just not present in votes on ideological issues.

Wilder questioned research related to the low number of female voters. He stated that the index does not reflect reality and said that the choice of Ana Paula as a candidate for vice-governor on the same ticket as his is not related to the search for rapprochement with female voters.

The candidate stated that he intends to make investments and improvements in health in the state. He criticized the single queue and the delay in care and carrying out elective surgeries and highlighted that he intends to solve the problem through partnerships with private hospitals.

Regarding public safety, Wilder highlighted that he intends to facilitate the granting of protective measures and increase support for victims of domestic violence. The candidate stated that vice candidate Ana Paula is the one who will lead the department in defense of women.

Regarding the exploration of rare earths, Wilder stated that he intends to create a secretariat focused on the exploration of these materials, removing dependencies on other countries to separate the material, investing in industrialization.
