Podemos's candidate for the Government of Pará, Dr. Daniel, held his last campaign walk in Ananindeua before the first round of elections, scheduled for October 4, presenting his main proposals for the state.
Podemos's candidate for the Government of Pará, Dr. Daniel, said this Friday (2) that, if elected, his first measure will be to break the contract with the concessionaire Águas do Pará, eliminate tolls on state highways and increase the number of ICU beds in Pará's municipalities.
Accompanied by supporters, Dr. Daniel was at the Feira do Paar, in Ananindeua, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, early in the morning. During his visit to the location, he received greetings and then left with part of his team by car for another campaign commitment in Bragança, in the northeast of Pará.
This was the candidate's last walk before the first round of elections, scheduled for Sunday, October 4th. Dr. Daniel took stock of his main proposals and asked voters for their vote.
"Well, today is our last walk here in Ananindeua. October 4th is the day that we can make the change that Pará needs. And I would like to ask each one of you that on the 4th it's just you and the ballot box. It's you and your conscience. So go there, vote with your heart", he declared.
In the health area, Dr. Daniel highlighted the decentralization of care and the installation of ICU beds through agreements with municipal administrations as a priority.
"Today we have more than 100 municipalities in the State that do not have an ICU bed. So we have to sit down with each mayor and establish agreements so that we can renovate the surgical suite, expand the hospital and have an ICU, because the city council is often unable to afford an anesthetist, a surgeon, an ICU on duty and we need to create these partnerships and prevent people from dying in the health queue.", he detailed.
The candidate also reinforced that health must be the central focus of his management.
"The main investment we have to make, as I said, is health. I think that health today is a priority for this State. People cannot continue dying because there are no beds."
For public security, Dr. Daniel's government plan foresees the valorization of Civil and Military police professionals. He defended the need to discuss salary improvements before holding new competitions.
"There is no way to talk about public safety without valuing those who leave their homes every day to defend us and today they do not have the security and comfort of knowing that their family is well looked after", he commented.
In the education sector, the candidate highlighted that the focus will be on professional education aimed at local economic characteristics.
When talking about the economy and socioeconomic development of Pará, Dr. Daniel stated that he intends to carry out an audit of the state's financial data.
"I know that today the State has an investment capacity of approximately 3.5 billion per year. So, we need to see if these numbers are real, if what is on the transparency portal is real, so that we can reorganize the State, know what investment there is per year for us to invest in each specific area that is in our target", he concluded.
