Candidates comment on expectations for the last debate of the first round in Tocantins

Vicentinho Júnior explained what he expects from the debate.

"Today is the last debate of the first round. So it's like I've said during all the other debates we've had, the opportunities we've been given, I'm going to treat this electoral moment with great respect, I'm going to take advantage of this rich moment of prime time to introduce myself once again, to present our proposals that have brought us to this point on the 45th journey. I will continue to respect people, respect human matter and I'm ready for a good debate, whatever I'm called. So, the people from Tocantins know Vicentinho's way A junior to be, a respectful man, a cautious man, but a man who always put up a good fight when necessary. So, today, in one last program, I can't be any different than that, other than a candidate who wants to show the people of Tocantins that real change is what's good."

Laurenz also spoke about his expectations for the debate.

"The expectations are very good. I always have the greatest pleasure in making people know me as much as possible. Because anyone who knows the story of Laurez Moreira, his past, the legacy I have left wherever I have been, always supports me, right? I am sure that I want the people of the state of Tocantins, everyone to know me and my essence as a man, as a family man, as a politician and the person who is always in politics out of vocation and desire to serve our people. I hope that people can make a better assessment of all the candidates, to know their profile, what they think, the way they act."

Professor Dorinha (União Brasil) spoke of her expectations for the debate.

"I think it's an opportunity that the press gives both to the candidate, in my case, the candidate, to talk about the proposals, projects, as they see it, the state, and for the voter to evaluate and compare candidates, compare proposals. Yes, I think that, within the democratic structure of our country, the press plays an extremely important role. So, it's a much-awaited debate throughout the campaign, right? And my expectation is that we can discuss the project, idea, model of the state."

Witer Naves (PSOL) spoke about expectations for the debate.

"It has a historical importance in the democratic field, and we believe that this debate today, it builds, without a doubt, some milestones for Sunday. So, Sunday we have what we have been building throughout the entire process, but that without a doubt, TV Globo, its affiliate TV Anhanguera helped build the history of Brazil, which was significantly decision-making, decision-making by voters here in Tocantins and Brazil."

Debate format

The debate will be divided into four blocks, with questions asked between the candidates themselves. In all blocks, each candidate will have the right to ask a question and answer once. In the first and third blocks, candidates will be able to address free topics. In the second and fourth, the questions will be on topics defined by the production and drawn live.

The times will be the same in all blocks. The candidate who asks the question will have 30 seconds to formulate it and 1 minute and 15 seconds to respond. Whoever responds will have 3 minutes and 15 seconds, which can be divided between the answer and the rejoinder.

The order of questions in each block was drawn in advance, in the presence of candidate representatives. At the end of the fourth block, each candidate will have time set aside to make their final considerations.
