Canva is preparing to lay off thousands of employees

Approximately 1,271 employees will be affected by Canva's layoff announcement. In the statement made by Canva CEO Melanie Perkins, it was emphasized that it has been a difficult year for the company. Saying that growth has slowed down for the first time, Perkins emphasized that plans need to change to increase growth.

The company is rolling out its own AI models to cut costs and reduce reliance on third-party models. Despite this, revenue growth forecasts have been reduced from 30 percent to 20 percent to cover rising artificial intelligence costs.
