The incident took place in the morning hours on the 3rd floor of the 5-storey apartment building located on İkbal Street in Gültepe District. Ö.U., who lost his wife a while ago, gave his daughter H.U. to an orphanage. Allegedly, H.U. met his friend A.R. today. He escaped from the dormitory and came to his father's house. Realizing the situation, Ö.U. locked his daughter and her friend in the room to prevent them from going out and reported them to the dormitory authorities.

Thereupon, the girls tried to escape by hanging sheets from the window of the apartment on the 3rd floor of the building.

However, as they tried to go down, the sheet broke and one of the girls fell to the ground and the other to the roof of the coal shed.

Upon notice, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The arriving medical teams gave first aid to the injured and then took them to the hospital in ambulances. It was learned that A.R., one of the injured, was in life-threatening condition.

Police teams inspected the flat. The teams detained father Ö.U. and took him to the police station. The investigation into the incident continues.
