CAS did not receive Valieva's appeal against ISU's denial of neutral status

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has not received an appeal from Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva against the International Skating Union's (ISU) decision to deny neutral status. Sports.ru reports this with reference to the CAS press service.

“To date, CAS has not received any appeals from Kamila Valieva in this case,” the court’s press service said.

At the same time, CAS has already registered appeals from other Russian skaters. Mark Kondratyuk, as well as the dance duo Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin, sent official complaints to arbitration.

The ISU in September revised its decision to grant neutral status to Russian athletes. Valieva, Kondratyuk, Stepanova and Bukin, who were granted neutral status in August, were found not to meet the established criteria.

Previously, Valieva completed serving her suspension for a doping violation in December 2025 and announced a career resumption in 2026. In July, the IOC Executive Committee canceled recommendations for international federations on restrictions on Russian athletes.
