Francesco Gianello case: medical report confirms that the boy could have been saved

Francesco Gianello, the 14-year-old boy from Vicenza who died of cancer in January 2024, for whom his parents would have instead relied on the so-called "Hamer method", could have been saved by respecting the chemotherapy and surgical protocols required by medical science.

This was stated by the experts Antonello Cirnelli and Franca Fagioli, in the expert report for which they were appointed by the Court of Assizes of Vicenza, before which the parents are accused of voluntary homicide with possible malice, and which was filed today.

The report introduces a new hypothesis, that is, that the followers of the Hamer method may have used neurotoxic drugs (Artemisia) against Francesco and refutes the conclusions of the defence, which supported the lack of causal link between the parents' choices and the death of their son.

The hearing is scheduled for September 16th.
