The competition commission “Family Capital of Russia” assessed the infrastructure of Saransk

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, September 8 - RIA Novosti. The commission of the All-Russian competition "Family Capital of Russia", implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, conducted an inspection visit to Saransk, the organizers of the event report.

“On September 6–7, an expert commission visited the capital of the Republic of Mordovia on an inspection visit. The delegation assessed how the city’s infrastructure and social policy meet the objectives of creating comfortable conditions for families with children - from birth to the active longevity of the older generation,” the statement says.

The program covered key healthcare, education, improvement and entrepreneurship facilities: a perinatal center, a children's food station, a youth center, and public spaces of the city. The experts met with the head of Saransk, Vladimir Bykov, relevant ministers of the government of Mordovia and family-oriented entrepreneurs.

“In 2025, 25 apartment buildings were commissioned in Saransk, 100 families improved their living conditions through social payments, 47 apartments were given to orphans. As part of a program with the Republican Housing Development Fund, 86 budget families received apartments for rent with the right to buy,” the message quotes the mayor of Saransk.

Bykov added that since 2021, 11 public spaces have been updated, 146 courtyards have been renovated, and more than 25 kilometers of new roads have been built.

According to the organizers of the competition, the experts were presented with the Family Taxi project - 31 cars, including seven-seater crossovers, with child restraints. Gorelektrotrans has been replenished with 12 low-floor buses for passengers with limited mobility and families with strollers.

The experts were told about the three-level system of reproductive health care and medical examination at the expense of compulsory medical insurance. On the first Saturday of the month, large families undergo examinations, and women in the postpartum period receive specialist consultations without waiting in line.

In addition, large families received free access to swimming pools and gyms, the message clarifies. In total, there are more than 32 measures to help families with children in the republic, 70% of them are not need-sensitive. It was noted that many city events are designed as family events - the festival “Shumbrat, Mordovia!”, which united three generations, or “Chamomile Happiness” with a parade of families.

“An important point of the visit was the Center for Healthy Longevity Medicine - the country’s first institution of this level in a regional city. The experts went through the “patient path” and received express diagnostics with determination of biological age,” the message notes.

Director of the Scientific Center of the Ministry of Transport of Russia Artur Romanenko drew attention to the friendly atmosphere of the center, which departs from the standards of a hospital environment. In turn, the chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation for education, upbringing and protection of historical memory, Olga Golyshenkova, emphasized that any resident of the republic can undergo such a comprehensive examination free of charge under a compulsory medical insurance policy. She called the support measures seen in Saransk unique.

The decision on the results of the “Family Capital of Russia” competition will be made based on the cumulative assessment of applications and the results of field visits to the participating cities.
