The excitement of the first journey was experienced on the Çerkezköy-Kapıkule High Speed ​​Train Line

Citizens who wanted to travel from Edirne to Çerkezköy by high-speed train came to Edirne Train Station in the early hours of the morning.

After the ticket checks by the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) officials, the passengers boarded the train and departed for Çerkezköy with the first flight on the line at 09:00.

Citizens traveling for the first time expressed their satisfaction with the fact that the high-speed train will shorten the transportation time and the comfort it offers.

Tunçer Metin, one of the passengers, told the AA reporter that he was excited to ride the high-speed train for the first time.

Stating that the journey with old trains took long hours, Metin said, "We were going from Edirne to Istanbul in 7 hours. Now the high-speed train has arrived, it will be very useful. It has been good in terms of both transportation and comfort, and the direction of Europe is opening up. Technological moves are being made in every field in Türkiye, which is very pleasing." he said.

Metin stated that he will be reunited with his relatives in Çerkezköy in a short time, thanks to the high-speed train.

“It will be a more comfortable and convenient journey than the old trains”

Gülbiye Güven, one of the passengers, also stated that the high-speed train will provide great convenience in transportation.

Stating that he had to wait for a long time in his previous journeys, Güven said, "Before the high-speed train, we were in Çerkezköy at 13.00, now I will reach Çerkezköy in 55 minutes. It will be a more comfortable and convenient journey compared to the old trains." he said.

Türkan Çekirge thanked President Erdoğan for the high-speed train service and said that journeys that previously took long hours will now be completed in a short time.

Stating that they liked the comfort and ticket prices of the high-speed train, Tunay Çekirge noted that the new line will provide significant transportation convenience for the people of the region.
