The Center field laboratory has mastered the production of fiber optic reels for UAVs

The field laboratory of unmanned systems of the Russian group of forces "Center" has mastered the full cycle of manufacturing fiber optic reels for UAVs.

The laboratory is capable of producing 30 coils per day and 900 coils per month.

Laboratory specialists are also upgrading drones and working on creating antennas and batteries.

DONETSK, September 7 - RIA Novosti. The field laboratory of unmanned systems of the Russian group of forces "Center" has mastered the full cycle of manufacturing fiber-optic coils for UAVs; the capacity allows for the production of 30 coils per day and 900 coils per month, the head of the technical department of the laboratory with the call sign Mesyats told RIA Novosti.

According to him, specialists from the laboratory of the 61st Guards Marine Brigade of the Center group independently manufacture coil housings, wind optical fiber, and also modernize drones and work with communications equipment.

“Here you see the full production cycle of fiber optic reels: from production and printing of housings to winding of optical fiber. Everything that is here is the merit of the personnel who work day and night,” said Mesyats.

He noted that the length of the coil is calculated depending on the type of drone and its technical characteristics. Some UAVs are capable of operating at a distance of 15 kilometers, others - at a distance of 30 kilometers or more.

“The technical capacity of our laboratory allows us to produce 30 coils per day and 900 coils per month,” the military man noted.
