Carpentry workshop fire in Ngoc Hoa industrial cluster, Hanoi

The fire broke out around 10 a.m. from the paint room and the attic leading to the paint spraying room of the factory. Due to containing a lot of finished wood and raw materials, the fire quickly spread, accompanied by many explosions. About 30 workers inside scattered.

"Part of the factory roof suddenly collapsed, causing many people to fall on top of each other, some unable to escape," said worker Trinh Xuan Nghiem, 25 years old.

10 fire trucks and dozens of Hanoi firefighting police were mobilized and deployed to extinguish the fire. From Ngoc Hoa Street, forces used water cannons to spray water and mobilized concrete mixer cranes to puncture the corrugated iron roof, bringing water into the center of the fire.

The carpentry workshop that burned was owned by Bui Gia Carpentry Company. The enterprise leased space from Viet Nhat Motorcycle Sprocket and Sprocket Manufacturing Co., Ltd., located in Ngoc Hoa industrial and handicraft cluster. There are many factories surrounded by machinery and vehicles. When the fire broke out, dozens of people helped push 4-seat cars parked at the factory door outside.
