When 29-year-old Wang Yibo participated in the second round of the Shanghai Station on the 6th, he started from 17th on the grid and chased all the way to third place in the class. Unexpectedly, as the race entered the final stage, he was hit by the No. 116 car behind him at Turn 11, causing damage to the car and being unable to complete the race. The event arbitration committee later announced the results of the investigation and determined that the No. 116 driver Zhang Huilin was fully responsible for the accident.
