Chinè proposes that the investigation into Malagò's membership be closed

The head of the FIGC Prosecutor's Office, Giuseppe Chinè - ANSA learns - will propose to the CONI General Prosecutor's Office the dismissal of the investigation into the failure to register the president, Giovanni Malagò, which arose from the appeals (always judged inadmissible up to now by the sporting justice system) of Renato Miele.

As happened two years ago for Malagò's predecessor, Gabriele Gravina, the conclusions of the prosecutor Chinè would be based on a precise interpretation of the federal statute: by "being in compliance with the membership", in fact, it would mean not an obligation to possess the federal membership card at the time of filing the candidacy, which Malagò did not have like his recent predecessors, including Abete, but rather compliance with the provisions and requirements required by the membership for those who are already in possession of a FIGC membership card.

An interpretation that the Attorney General of CONI, Ugo Taucer, subscribed to three years ago, in dismissing a proceeding against a regional councillor, and the following year in closing the complaint against Gravina.
