The candidate for the government of Ceará, Ciro Gomes (PSDB), stated this Saturday (29), during a campaign event in the Center of Fortaleza, that he will appeal the decision of the Regional Electoral Court of Ceará (TRE-CE) that released the publication of a video in which senator Camilo Santana associates Ciro with the presidential candidate, Flávio Bolsonaro (PL). During the agenda, he also promised to support informal workers and app workers.

"I'm going to appeal for one reason only. The reason is that this is a lie. It's as simple as that. Because I could say anywhere and I say here that Elmano is a voter of Ronaldo Caiado. Then someone would say: 'No, Mr. Ciro is lying'. But as I'm serious and I respect people, I'm not going to say that Elmano is a voter of Ronaldo Caiado because he handed over his own vice-governorship to Ronaldo Caiado's party [in reference to Gabriella Aguiar, candidate for Elmano's vice-president, who is from the PSD, Caiado's party," said Ciro.

In the video in question, published on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), Camilo stated that "Ciro is Flávio Bolsonaro's candidate in Ceará". On the 24th, the TRE assistant judge ordered that the content be removed within 24 hours. However, on Friday (28), the court released the content.

When commenting on the release decision, Ciro highlighted that he has not yet defined his presidential support, but is grateful for the votes of voters for any candidate for president. "What I want is this, every Ceará resident votes with freedom, with hope", he concluded.

Support for street vendors and workers via app

During the walk in the center of Fortaleza, Ciro visited some stores, greeted pedestrians and talked to traders. He cited informal work numbers in Ceará and the low average salary in the state. He stated that, if elected, he intends to implement measures to support informal workers and app workers.

"Today, the service sector is saving the state of Ceará, but the services sector tends not to have salaries compatible with our desires," he said. "More than half of the people in Ceará are in the informal sector, without any protection, forced, as we know, the kids from iFood, the kids from 99, from Uber Moto, they are there working 12, 14 hours. If the motorcycle chain breaks that day or those two days, they won't make any money", said the peessedebista.

Ciro said he would reinforce the services sector through professional training and again cited the promise to make changes to secondary education in the state's public network, including training in areas of artificial intelligence and other technologies.

"We are preparing an entire project to reinforce this service structure in the state of Ceará, but increasing this quality of service. Where am I going to prioritize? Delivering training in high school for the management of artificial intelligence, for the management of applications and the creation of applications and for the management of networks", said the candidate.
