CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke 'Resigns' As Madhya Pradesh CM In Sarcastic Post After Being Heckled

NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday mocked the Mohan Yadav-led Madhya Pradesh government and announced his resignation as the state's chief minister.

The sarcastic announcement came after Dipke was allegedly heckled by a group of people during his visit to Balaghat district, where more than 30 tribal children have reportedly died from infectious diseases.

In a post on X, Dipke wrote: "I hereby resign as the chief minister of MP with immediate effect. I thank Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji for giving me the opportunity to serve the people of MP, an opportunity in which I have clearly failed."

Dipke also shared a purported resignation letter addressed to the Madhya Pradesh governor, in which he took responsibility for the deaths of the tribal children and criticised the state government's response to the tragedy.

"My conscience does not allow me to continue occupying this chair after the deaths of more than 30 Tribal children in Balaghat. As Chief Minister, I accept responsibility for failing to provide them with the timely medical care and support they needed," the letter said.

Dipke further questioned the compensation announced for the victims and alleged that the government had initially offered a lower amount before increasing it following protests by the tribal community.

"Our response reflects how little value we have placed on the lives of Tribal children," the letter said, while also questioning why health officials had not been held accountable.

The CJP founder's post came after his visit to Adori, Korka and Bondari villages in Balaghat, where he met families of tribal children who allegedly died from infectious diseases and gathered information about healthcare facilities.

During the visit, a viral video showed a woman, described as a social media influencer, approaching Dipke with a microphone as he was leaving in a car.

She questioned whether he had come to "do politics on corpses" and why he had visited the area so late.

Dipke was heard apologising for the delayed visit.

The woman was also heard saying, "A good road has been constructed here. Can't you see it?"

As the confrontation escalated, CJP workers accompanying Dipke moved him into another car and took him away.

The woman was then heard saying, "he ran away, he ran away."
