Claudia Di Pasquale chosen as the new presenter of Report after the resignation of Giulia Presutti

White smoke on the future of Report after the meetings between the director of the Analysis Paolo Corsini and the members of the editorial team. After Giulia Presutti's decision, opposed by her colleagues, to take a step back, the choice fell on Claudia Di Pasquale, the programme's historic correspondent, who will be the face of the program together with Daniele Piervincenzi. After days of tension and clashes, the broadcast team welcomed the news with applause and shouts of joy. Giulio Valesini and Bernardo Iovene have agreed to take on the role of chief authors, after having previously refused it in protest.

"Di Pasquale is the most worthy representative of the spirit and DNA of Report - commented the correspondents -. We trust that together with Valesini and Iovene he will be able to guarantee the usual autonomy and freedom to the team of journalists". The new presenter, summoned by Corsini in the early afternoon, then met her colleagues and also made a short speech. "I chose to accept - he said - only because the entire Report team asked me to say yes". Even the former presenter Sigfrido Ranucci says he is "very happy with Claudia's choice, because she is a great professional. It would have been one of my favorite choices in a normal corporate dialectic if Corsini had asked me".

Born in Caltagirone in 1978, Di Pasquale took her first steps in the printed press, before arriving at La7's Exit program and then in 2011 at Report when Milena Gabanelli was still at the helm. For the Rai3 broadcast he carried out investigations on various topics, thanks to which he also won prizes. In the morning the director of the Insight, on the occasion of the press conference for the presentation of 'Ore 14' by Salvo Sottile, had underlined that Presutti's was a personal choice, that Piervincenzi would remain at the helm and that the company's intention was to confirm the start of the program on 8 November. There were moments of tension right before the start of the conference when Iovene and the other correspondent Luca Bertazzoni crossed paths with Sottile, calling him a "sellout" and a "piece of shit" for the posts against Ranucci published on social media. The two opposition councilors, Roberto Natale and Alessandro Di Majo, intervened on the case, together with the employee representative Davide Di Pietro to condemn "the disastrous management of the Report affair", which "continues to produce devastating effects on the image of Rai every day". The councilors asked the company management to recall the subjects involved, urgently convening an extraordinary board of directors. "We can and must disagree, even firmly, but always with respect for people and roles", commented majority councilor Federica Frangi.

Meanwhile, the news given by Geppi Cucciari about his farewell to the well-known Radio 1 show 'Un Giorno da Pecora' is causing discussion. "In September after 11 years I will not return to the microphones of the broadcast as I would have liked - he explained -. The work commitments of the last three years have not allowed me to cover the entire radio season, but until the last edition I have always been allowed to go live from the Rai headquarters in Milan for half of the season". The presenter then added that "this year, despite my renewed availability, this solution, which allowed me to reconcile A Sheep's Day with Splendida Cornice and my other commitments, was not deemed feasible for editorial reasons". In her place at the helm of the satirical program will be Nancy Brilli.
