8-year-old child is seriously injured in an accident between two cars on MG-423

The other three, including a 13-year-old teenager, had minor injuries, according to the Military Highway Police (PMRv).

The accident happened around 4:40 pm. According to PMRv, one car was heading towards the town of Rio do Peixe towards Campo Grande, when the other, which was traveling in the opposite direction, made a left turn to access the town of Indaiá.

During the turn, the car crossed the highway and hit the other vehicle in the intersection.

The 13-year-old victim was in the car that was hit. The other victims were already in the other vehicle, the 25-year-old driver, a 17-year-old passenger and the 8-year-old child.

The victims were helped by a rescue team, but their updated health status was not disclosed.
