President Erdoğan opened Şanlıurfa City Hospital: 'No one will come between us and our goal of a terrorism-free Türkiye'

"We are here in this office to serve you," said Erdoğan, adding, "As long as you stand by us, we will continue to say no stopping, continue to serve. We are uniting our Urfa with our city hospitals project, which I call my dream in health and which I am honored to bring to our country." he said.

Erdoğan said that the hospital has an area of ​​500 square meters, a bed capacity of 2 thousand, 6 operating rooms and a parking lot for 3 thousand 600 vehicles.

Erdoğan announced that a 1.7-kilometer connection road and a 191-meter-long bridge were put into service to address the hospital's transportation problem.

President Erdoğan said, “As we progress in the process of a terrorism-free Türkiye, our cities are developing and our plateaus and mountains are becoming more joyful.” he said.

Erdoğan said, "There have been no laments rising from homes for two years. A very different wind has begun to blow outside our borders. The cruel regime in our neighbor Syria was overthrown and replaced by a government that is a very close friend of Türkiye. With the integration process, the terrorism problem there is being solved. Likewise, the security environment is being re-established in Iraq. Hopefully, we will all see much better days. Peace will replace terrorism. No one will come between us and our goal of a terror-free Türkiye. As Turks, Kurds and Arabs, 838 years ago "We are united like the army of Saladin, who saved Jerusalem from the Crusaders." he said.

FUND INVESTIGATION

Stating that they have convened the committees regarding the fund investigation and the road map has been determined, Erdoğan said, "Our first priority is to ensure that no harm comes to the Turkish economy. Secondly, whoever has gained unjust profits should be held accountable for this. We are taking all kinds of steps with our State Supervision Board, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Treasury and Finance. Our board manages the process. We are working to resolve the process on the basis of justice and equity, without compromising anyone's rights to anyone else. Türkiye's economy is capable of overcoming this problem. MINISTER OF HEALTH MEMİŞOĞLU: WE RENEWED Türkiye'S HEALTH INFRASTRUCTURE

Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu, in his speech at the Şanlıurfa City Hospital Opening Ceremony held with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stated that they brought a great health investment to the city.

Stating that Şanlıurfa City Hospital was put into service as Türkiye's 28th city hospital, Memişoğlu stated that they have renewed Türkiye's health infrastructure in the last 25 years.

Referring to the health investments in Şanlıurfa, Memişoğlu said:

"We have now increased our total bed capacity to over 271 thousand. We have added 22 new hospitals and 110 new health centers to Şanlıurfa since 2002. We have tripled the number of physicians, quadrupled the number of specialist physicians, and 6-fold the number of midwives and nurses. In the last 2 years alone, we have added 2,128 physicians and 3,450 healthcare personnel to Şanlıurfa. "We continue our investments in Şanlıurfa without slowing down. Our hospitals with 200 beds each in Siverek and Viranşehir and 100 beds in Harran will start to be put into service by the end of this year, and we will bring 16 new health facilities to Şanlıurfa."

- The importance of preventive health services

Emphasizing the importance of health measures, Memişoğlu said, "For us, health means being with our citizens before they wait for them to come to the hospital, rather than having them come to the hospital after illness. Monitoring their blood pressure and sugar regularly, performing cancer screening on time, following our expectant mother throughout her pregnancy, ensuring the healthy growth of our children. This is what we call preventive health service. Because in our understanding, health is not only about treating the disease, but also protecting our people from the disease." he said.

- "13 million citizens were diagnosed early"

Emphasizing that they determined protecting the public's health as a priority goal, Memişoğlu said:

"In the last 2 years, we have carried out chronic disease checks of 44 million of our citizens. We have detected the patients of approximately 13 million of our citizens at an early stage and applied their treatment. First, we will protect our health, we will detect it early and provide the best treatment service when necessary. However, protecting health is not something that only our ministry will do. We want a promise from you too. We will not smoke, we will move, we will do sports, we will eat healthy. We will not neglect our check-ups. We will be a healthy Turkey in the Turkish Century.'

Emphasizing the importance of Türkiye producing the medical devices and health technologies it needs, Memişoğlu noted that they want to prioritize domestic and national production.

Memişoğlu stated that they want to develop the excitement of technology and production in TEKNOFEST and to develop local and national technology in health.
