Vice President Yılmaz: 'Türkiye-Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Cooperation is a Historic Step'

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz spoke at the Pakistan Independence Day celebrations. Yılmaz drew attention to the importance of developing Turkey-Pakistan-Saudi Arabia cooperation in defence, security, economy, energy, transportation, technology and other fields.

Yılmaz emphasized the historical friendship of the two countries and reminded that Türkiye was one of the first countries to recognize Pakistan after it gained independence. He stated that relations are built on mutual respect, trust and solidarity.

Pointing out that Türkiye and Pakistan work shoulder to shoulder on regional and global issues, Yılmaz drew attention to solidarity in a wide range of areas, from natural disasters to the fight against terrorism, from humanitarian crises to international issues.

Yılmaz said that Türkiye supports Pakistan's security sensitivities and believes in the importance of resolving regional issues through dialogue and diplomacy.

Stating that relations will develop further in the coming period, Yılmaz said that Türkiye, which does not see Pakistan's prosperity as separate from its own prosperity, sees the stability and development of brother Pakistan as its own stability and prosperity.
