SVR: Europe instructed the opposition to discredit elections in Russia

Europe has instructed structures of the Russian non-systemic opposition based abroad to disseminate theses about the “illegitimacy and illegality” of the upcoming elections in Russia, SVR has learned.

MOSCOW, August 31 - RIA Novosti. Europe has entrusted the dissemination of theses about the “illegitimacy and illegality” of the upcoming elections in the Russian Federation to structures of the Russian non-systemic opposition based abroad, the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said on Monday.

According to the SVR, the European Union and leading European countries are implementing a large-scale strategy to destabilize the situation in Russia on the eve of the single voting day in September.

“The dissemination of theses about the “illegitimacy and illegality” of the yet-to-be-held vote has been entrusted to foreign-based structures of the Russian non-systemic opposition,” the SVR statement says.
