The summit dedicated to the 35th anniversary of relations between Russia and ASEAN is taking place in Kazan on June 17-19. The head of state continues a series of international meetings on Thursday. The day before, he held talks with the heads of delegations of the Philippines, Brunei and Malaysia.

East Timor is a promising partner of Russia in the Asia-Pacific region, according to the Kremlin’s materials for the negotiations. 2027 will mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

A political dialogue is developing between Russia and East Timor, and contacts are being maintained in the field of security. There is growing interest in humanitarian exchanges, including science, education and training.
