Trabzonspor loses to the Hungarian team in the first leg of the Europa League

Christopher Zachariassen scored the only goal of the match in the 17th minute, after he rose to a cross and headed it into Andre Onana's net, giving the Hungarian team an important advantage before the second leg.

The match witnessed the first starting participation of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah in a Trabzonspor shirt, after he appeared as a substitute in his first official match with the team against Qasim Pasha in the opening of the Turkish League.

Salah almost gave the hosts an early lead, after he was alone with the goalkeeper from the right side, but the latter blocked his shot.

In the second half, Trabzonspor imposed great pressure in search of an equaliser, but their attempts did not result in a goal.

Salah wasted more than one opportunity, including a shot that passed near the post, while the defense blocked a dangerous header from him, and the crossbar also saved the Hungarian team from a header from Nigerian Paul Onuachu.

Trabzon's task became more complicated in stoppage time, after the referee showed a direct red card to Shibuki Noayo following a violent intervention, so the Turkish team ended the match with ten players.

Trabzonspor needs to overturn its deficit in the second leg scheduled for August 27 at the Groupama Arena in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, in order to reserve a ticket to qualify for the European League stage.

Salah joined Trabzonspor during the summer transfer period on a free transfer, after 9 seasons he spent with Liverpool.
