A fuel truck fire in Sanandaj sparks an emergency response from fire brigades

The head of the Fire and Safety Department in Sanandaj Municipality, Morteza Karami, told IRNA: “Following this incident, several fire brigades were sent from Sanandaj to the site to control the fire and prevent its spread.”

He added: "The accident occurred minutes ago, and upon receiving the report, firefighting teams from various parts of the city of Sanandaj were sent to the site."

He continued: "Since the truck's load is fuel, fire-fighting operations are carried out with high precision, and firefighting teams are making every effort to control the fire and prevent the spread of the fire and the occurrence of side accidents."

Karami confirmed, “More details will be announced about the cause of the accident, the extent of potential damage, and the condition of the passengers,” in addition to the progress of firefighting operations.
