The Ministry of Health has changed the procedure for conducting medical examinations and medical examinations in Russia

The Ministry of Health ordered a new way to conduct medical examinations and medical examinations of Russians. Details about the changes made to the procedure were revealed by the head of the department, Mikhail Murashko, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the innovations, Russians under 59 years of age will have access to an assessment of the likelihood of coronary heart disease and the risk of death from cardiovascular diseases in the next 10 years.

In addition, men aged 65 to 75 who smoke or have smoked and whose close relatives have been diagnosed with an aneurysm will receive a free ultrasound examination of the abdominal aorta.

For Russian smokers who have consumed one pack of cigarettes or more over the past 20 years, computed tomography and other tests will also be available. “The donation of glycated hemoglobin is required at a level of more than 6 mmol/l when studying fasting glucose levels. Colonoscopy will be carried out, among other things, based on the results of an immunochemical test of stool for occult blood,” the document from the Ministry of Health says.
