Ankang, Shaanxi Province is located in the hinterland of Qin and Ba Mountains, where the Qinling Mountains and Bashan Mountains meet, and the Han River passes through it. The channel is extended to allow mountain products to travel further
In the Ankang Hengkou Demonstration Zone, 10 containers containing more than 630,000 bottles of selenium-rich mineral water were shipped together. More than 270 tons of selenium-rich mineral water from Longwang Spring were transported to the United Arab Emirates via rail and sea. This batch of mineral water originates from deep underground rock fissures at the southern foot of the Qinling Mountains. In the production workshop, the mineral water is filled, tested and packaged before being shipped off the production line and put into storage, and then packed into boxes according to orders. Before exporting, the company completes relevant UAE certifications and factory inspections and obtains product access qualifications. The goods departed from the Ankang Hengkou Railway Freight Yard and were transferred to sea transportation via Wuhan Port. It is expected to take 30 days to arrive at the Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Ankang Dry Port is responsible for functions such as cargo assembly, centralized shipment and line connection. At present, Ankang has formed a transportation pattern that connects to China-Europe freight trains to the west, integrates into the New Western Land-Sea Corridor to the south, and connects to coastal ports to the east. Local goods can be sent to Central Asia and Europe via Xi'an, or overseas via Wuhan Port, Shanghai Port, Fangcheng Port and other ports. "Currently, the company has built a complete automated production line that can produce 6 bottles of selenium-rich mineral water per second. The products have been exported to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and other places. We are also actively connecting with customers in Japan, South Korea and other countries and continue to expand overseas business." From commodity export to technical cooperation
Along the air transport route from Ankang, there are also sheets of silkworm seeds. In 2026, the third batch of 46,000 silkworm seeds from Ankang Silkworm Breeding Farm Co., Ltd. in Shaanxi Province was sent to Uzbekistan after completing inspection, quarantine and customs declaration procedures. So far, the company has signed 144,000 silkworm seed orders with Central Asian countries such as Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
After the silkworm seeds arrive locally, they have to enter the production process such as hatching, raising, cocooning and reeling. Transportation timeliness, storage conditions, inspection and quarantine, and breeding management are all related to subsequent production. For overseas orders, the company organizes silkworm seed production and inspection, arranges air transportation, and dispatches technical personnel to cooperation areas to provide technical guidance based on local climate and breeding conditions.
"Overseas orders have strict requirements on silkworm seed quality, transportation time and breeding conditions. After the silkworm seeds are shipped, our technical staff will go to the local area to provide guidance on key aspects such as disinfection and disease prevention, temperature and humidity control, and help the local area complete incubation, raising and cocooning," said Zheng Jie, the person in charge of Ankang Silkworm Breeding Farm. From silkworm seed delivery to breeding guidance, goods, technology and services are continuously connected in the same order to support the orderly development of local sericulture production.
Global orders drive industrial collaboration
There are more than 800 plush toy companies in Ankang, with an annual output value of more than 7.5 billion yuan. About 70% of the company's simulated animal and cartoon image products are sold overseas, covering more than 40 countries and regions.
From a design drawing to a product in the hands of overseas consumers, a plush toy needs to go through multiple links such as raw material preparation, design and proofing, production and processing, quality inspection, transportation and sales. Continuously accepting overseas orders requires the stable cooperation of all links and the coordination of production forces distributed in different regions. In order to improve its order acceptance and delivery capabilities, Ankang has built "five major centers" including cultural and creative design, raw and auxiliary material wholesale, product release and display, e-commerce operations, and logistics distribution. After overseas orders enter Ankang, community factories assume production tasks, and relevant centers provide design, raw materials, e-commerce and transportation services. Enterprises and factories distributed between urban and rural areas work together to complete the orders.
Global orders have thus been transformed into a driving force for local industrial development. Design, production, sales and other links are continuously extended, and international demand is more closely linked to local employment.
