Daniel Maldini tests positive for breathalyzer after accident in Milan, license revoked

Daniel Maldini, whose license was revoked after the accident with his Porsche Carrera in which he was involved this morning in Milan, tested positive for the breathalyzer. The Cagliari footballer recorded values ​​of 0.91 mg/l in the first test and 0.89 mg/l in the second tests carried out on site by the local police.

We are now awaiting the results of the test from the hospital to check for the presence of narcotic substances.

Maldini, who spent the evening in Milan after playing last night in Bergamo scoring the decisive penalty for his Cagliari's victory against Atalanta, was involved in an accident between two cars.

The accident occurred around 5.15am in via Caracciolo, on the northern outskirts of the Lombardy capital, and involved 6 people, all not seriously injured: two girls aged 20 and 22 and three boys aged 19, 20, 21, as well as Daniel Maldini who will turn 25 in a month.

Three ambulances and a medical vehicle intervened, one of the injured was treated on the spot, while the other five were taken to hospital, with the Cagliari footballer transported under yellow code to Fatebenefratelli for checks.

According to what was reconstructed by the local police, Maldini was in the company of three friends: he was driving his Porsche Carrera 4 with a girl and two boys on board when he crashed into a Golf, inside which there were a man and a woman, who were then admitted to the Polyclinic under yellow code. The girl who was on board with the Cagliari footballer was taken to San Carlo, while all the boys were taken to Fatebenefratelli. Toxicological tests for alcohol and drugs were ordered.

The footballer's lawyer, Danilo Buongiorno, specifies in a note that "after a brief assessment in code blue at the emergency room, Daniel was immediately discharged and returned to his home and is in good health. Daniel is well and has not suffered any type of injury, let alone serious".
