The Belarusian automobile market set a sales record in August

The automobile market of Belarus has set a record. In August, buyers purchased 10,300 new passenger cars, which exceeded the July result by 7 percent, and the August 2025 figures by 71.6 percent. Such data was published by Autostat, citing information from the BAA Automobile Association.

It is noted that over the month the share of sold cars of local brands has increased significantly. If in July such cars accounted for 61.6 percent of all sales, then in August this figure increased to 68 percent. The share of imported cars, on the contrary, decreased from 38.4 to 32 percent.

The Belgee X50+ crossover remains the leader in demand for the second month: almost every sixth car sold in August was of this particular model.

The demand for hybrids and electric cars has increased. During the month, 3,900 of these machines were sold in Belarus, which is almost 10 percent more than in July. Since the beginning of 2026, their total sales volume has reached 19 thousand units.

Local auto experts are confident that the positive market dynamics will continue due to the growth in the production of Belarusian-made cars and the growing interest of buyers in “green” cars.
