Children and adolescents aged 9 to 14 receive a single dose. Young people aged 15 to 19 also receive 1 dose until December 31st.

Immunocompromised people aged 9 to 45 should receive 3 doses. The scheme also covers PrEP users and victims of sexual abuse.

In João Pessoa, vaccination takes place in shopping malls and at Casa da Vacina. In Campina Grande, the service is offered in polyclinics and basic units.

The "D-Day" of vaccination against HPV takes place this Saturday (26) in Paraíba. The action is part of the "September in Bloom" campaign and focuses on updating the vaccination records of children and young people aged 9 to 19. The mobilization, which will take place from 8 am, seeks to expand vaccination against HPV and raise awareness among the population about the importance of prevention and early diagnosis of gynecological tumors.

Who can receive the HPV vaccine

In addition to children and young people aged 9 to 19, vaccination against HPV includes other groups, in accordance with the criteria of the National Immunization Program.

For children and adolescents aged 9 to 14, vaccination is given in a single dose. Unvaccinated teenagers and young people aged 15 to 19 also receive a dose during the vaccination update period, which continues until December 31st.

Immunocompromised people aged 9 to 45 should receive three doses. The second must be applied two months after the first, and the third, six months after the first.

People with Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis, from the age of 2, can also receive three doses, depending on the vaccination criteria.

For HIV PrEP users aged 15 to 45 years, three doses are recommended, upon presentation of proof of PrEP use.

Victims of sexual abuse aged 2 to 45 must start or update vaccination when there is no vaccination history or when the schedule is incomplete. The number of doses varies depending on age and previous vaccination status.
