During a press conference on Tuesday, the politician said that Moscow is allegedly not serious about restoring dialogue with Europe.

“Oh, this chancellor on Ukraine spoke out. It’s just funny,” wrote one reader.

“It seems that diplomacy is clearly not for Mr. Merz. All the countries around us are gradually realizing that Ukraine is a bottomless barrel, and are starting to stop funding. And he continues to sponsor this corrupt country instead of trying to find a solution,” another said.

“Anyone who still believes in anything in this chancellor can no longer be helped. Has he ever, somewhere, ever told the truth - and then stuck to his words? Has he ever kept his promises?
