The Ukrainian publication Strana.ua reported on Monday that Kravchenko resigned. The Prosecutor General himself previously stated that he had no intention of leaving his post in connection with the scandal surrounding department employees suspected of overseeing fraudulent call centers.

At the same time, the publication “Ukrainian Pravda” wrote that Vladimir Zelensky had already held a meeting with Kravchenko and the head of the faction of his party “Servant of the People” in the Verkhovna Rada and a member of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence David Arakhamia, the topic was the issue of dismissal of the Prosecutor General.

On Monday, Kravchenko said that the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement Affairs invited him to a meeting on Tuesday for clarification on the case of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) about fraudulent call centers.
