The mother of 11-month-old Büşra Balıkçı, missing in Divriği, admitted in her statement that the baby was sold

The number of detentions in the case of missing 11-month-old Büşra Balıkçı in Divriği district of Sivas has increased to 6.

Büşra Balıkçı's mother Elif Balıkçı (27) and father Y.B. and 4 people were detained.

In her statement, Mother Balıkçı admitted that her baby was given to someone else by her husband in exchange for money, and that the "lost" claim was a complete fiction.

It was reported that an additional detention period was requested for the suspects and that their transfer to the courthouse would be carried out tomorrow.

The incident took place on September 10 in Göndüren village of Divriği district.

Elif Balıkçı, who was engaged in animal husbandry in the village where she came from Diyarbakır as a seasonal worker, called the 112 Emergency Call Center and reported that she could not find her baby Büşra in the tent where they lived. Thereupon, AFAD and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region.

A large-scale search was launched to find the baby. AFAD, commando and gendarmerie teams participated in the work, and artificial intelligence-supported unmanned aerial vehicles and tracking dogs were also used.

Within the scope of the investigation into the incident, the baby's mother Elif Balıkçı and father Y.B. were allegedly given to another person by the family in exchange for money. and 4 people were detained.
