Senior Residential Dom is banned and elderly people are removed after failing to meet the deadline

Dom Residencial Sênior was in the licensing process and, according to the City Hall, was closed by the Health Surveillance on September 2 for not meeting essential structural and sanitary requirements for operation.

g1 contacted Dom Residencial Sênior to ask for a position, but did not receive a response until the last update of this report.

Also according to the City Hall, at the time of the ban, those responsible were given an initial period of seven days, later extended for an equal period, to notify family members and organize the transfer of the elderly.

According to the City Hall, given the non-compliance with the schedule and the continued irregularities, the Health Surveillance Department registered a police report for disobedience.

After registering the incident, the Health Surveillance and Civil Police carried out a joint inspection, which resulted in the immediate evacuation of the institution and the removal of the 13 elderly people.

The action was also monitored by the Municipal Department of Social Assistance. According to City Hall, one of the elderly people was welcomed by the department until the return of family members, who are traveling.

According to City Hall, for the institution to reopen, those responsible must begin a new approval process for the structural project and comply with the adjustments and works required by health legislation, in addition to other licensing requirements.
