The double murder in Brattås will be a documentary series

In the early summer of 2005, Tor Öberg and Gerd Viklund are found dead on their farm in Brattås outside Härnösand. A double murder that has since been unsolved.

New legislation on dna genealogy has made it possible for the case to be reopened more than 20 years later. In the spring of 2026, a 45-year-old man was arrested after he could be linked to DNA traces at the scene, and the trial is ongoing in Ångermanland district court.

Carina Bergfeldt follows the DNA trail

In the documentary, journalist Carina Bergfeldt takes a deep dive into the case and meets the police officers who were first on the scene and have never been able to let go of the case.

In the series, we also meet the genealogist who tracked down the now detained man and the relatives who have lived with the uncertainty all these years.

The series is a collaboration with SVT Västernorrland and reporter Patric Sellén, who has followed the case since the beginning.

Broadcast date will be released later in the autumn.
