Double attempted murder in Pozzuoli: 43-year-old runs over his ex and his partner

Double attempted murder late yesterday evening in Pozzuoli, in the province of Naples, where a 43-year-old man driving a Fiat Punto hit the 33-year-old former woman who, together with her 37-year-old partner, was walking on the sidewalk.

It all happened in via Campi Flegrei: the officers of the Municipal Police of Pozzuoli, coordinated by commander Fabio Felice De Silva, reconstructed the episode and arrested the 43-year-old.

According to what emerged from the investigations, the man, who had shown an interest in the 33-year-old for some time, suddenly swerved to hit her at the sight of the couple walking hand in hand.

The two suffered several wounds and bruises: the woman was judged to be healable in 5 days, while for her partner the doctors established a prognosis of 10 days.

Municipal police officers provided first aid and requested ambulance intervention.

There are complaints against the man presented by the woman for acts of persecution and violence, in addition to the request for notification of a removal sheet, which dates back to last July.

At dawn the 43-year-old was taken to the prison in Poggioreale, at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
