These are the words of Samanta, friend of Lorena Isceri, the 45 year old killed in A1 by her ex Federico Vella, 36, published by La Nazione.
The two, she a job in a pharmaceutical company specializing in veterinary medicine, he a job in a car rental company, according to what the newspaper reports seems to have met in the gym in Florence, the city where they both lived. A story that would have ended in August, after they had been together on holiday in Greece. Lorenzo, a training partner of Vella, always tells La Nazione: "In two years Federico, almost six feet tall, had become enormous, powerful. We all envied his physique.
He had impressive will and self-determination. In the gym - he adds - he was apparently calm, even if very selective with his friendships. So much so that he never went out with us outside the structure, despite various invitations."
"Federico and Lorena didn't even train together - he adds - and Vella's attitude had always seemed measured, so much so that it took us some time before we understood that they were together".
Disbelief also in the words of Alessia, who had dated Vella between 2013 and 2014 according to what the newspaper always reports: "It's incredible. He didn't seem like a person capable of doing such a serious thing. He seemed harmless: with an almost exaggerated kindness and a composure that is rarely seen".
The investigators hypothesize premeditation
A premeditated attack. This is the most accredited hypothesis by the Florence prosecutor's office regarding the death yesterday of Lorena Isceri, the 45-year-old originally from the province of Lecce and resident in Florence, thrown from an A1 viaduct in the municipality of Barberino del Mugello (Florence) by the former Federico Vella, 36 years old, from Florence, who then took his own life by jumping from the same bridge. Vella, according to what has been reconstructed, would have set up an ambush for the victim in the garage which the woman had access to, near via Panciatichi, on the outskirts of Florence. After covering the photoelectric cells with tape to prevent the doors from closing, he waited for the woman. Then he attacked her and put it in the trunk of Lorena's car and left. The man also placed his ex's bag in the trunk and so she managed, with her phone, which has now been rebuilt, to contact 112 to ask for help: a phone call that lasted about twenty minutes with the emergency number operations center. Right from the recording of the call you would hear, before the call ends, the man saying: "What are you doing?".
The woman may have also tried to contact a friend and her mother: certainty can only be obtained after examining the cell phone that was seized together with Vella's and the car in which the two traveled together for the last time.
