The Yemeni army announces its full control over Al-Hais District in Hodeidah

(CNN) - The Yemeni army said, on Saturday, that it had imposed full control over the Hays District in Hodeidah Governorate on the Red Sea coast, after it was controlled by the Ansar Allah group (Houthis) supported by Iran.

A military source told the media center of the Yemeni Armed Forces of the internationally recognized government: "The city of Hays was liberated, while parts of the directorate's countryside remained under the control of the terrorist Houthi militias, before the forces today were able to liberate and completely secure all of the directorate's rural areas."

The source pointed out that the government forces "began to liberate areas of Al-Jarrahi District, and penetrated towards the positions of the Houthi militia, amid the retreat and flight of its members, and dozens of deaths and injuries among its ranks."

The source also stated that "the forces continue to secure the liberated areas and stabilize their positions, after completing the liberation of the entire Hays District."
