李遠表示，當他聽到賴清德總統用《聖經》裡面的話，提到山巔之城、地上的鹽、世上的光，「我一直在想，他這是什麼意思？後來從他的講話中發現，他講山巔之城，講的是國家的治理，然後講到地上的鹽，講的是一個民主社會，還有韌性可以維持一個社會，然後世上的光，講的是台灣已經有能力打開門，讓世界的光照進來，也把台灣的光照向全世界。」

李遠說，「這些話在講的時候，我就在想，那文化呢？如果文化要找一個比喻，是什麼呢？後來想想，文化應該就是土壤，文化就是土壤。」
