Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko called tourism the fastest growing sector of the Russian economy. He stated this at the International Youth Festival in Yekaterinburg, his words were quoted by TASS.

The agency’s interlocutor noted that it has been growing “by double digits” for several years now. Chernyshenko also spoke about the resorts of the south of the country and the Urals and about the local history museum of Yekaterinburg, where you can see the Shigir idol, which is more than 12 thousand years old.

In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister addressed foreign participants of the festival and noted that an electronic visa gives citizens of other countries the right to spend up to 30 days in Russia. It can be completed online within four days.
