Kane equals Shilton's England cap record

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane made his 125th appearance for England in the Nations League fourth round game against the Czech Republic and equaled goalkeeper Peter Shilton's record for most appearances for the national team. This was reported on the Sport Express website.

The meeting at Wembley ended with a victory for the British with a score of 3:0. Shilton's record stood for 36 years.

33-year-old Kane is the captain of the national team and has already become the record holder for goals scored - 89 goals. He also contributed 21 assists.

In the next match against Croatia on November 12, the forward will be able to single-handedly lead the list in the number of games for the national team.

Kane made his England debut in March 2015. Together with the team, he became the bronze medalist of the 2026 World Championship, twice won silver at the European Championship (2020, 2024) and took third place in the Nations League of the 2018/19 season. Shilton played for the national team from 1970 to 1990.
