It will prosper towards the sea, catch up and leap forward, and strive to create a new situation in modernization construction.
Yulin is located in the southeast of Guangdong, adjacent to Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, facing the Beibu Gulf in front, backed by the southwest, and facing Southeast Asia. It is an important pivot for the joint development of the "two bays" of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, and is one of the important logistics node cities of the New Land-Sea Corridor in the West. Yulin is known as the "Lingnan City" and is the largest and famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Guangxi.
According to Suo Shenjing, acting mayor of Yulin City, in terms of building an emerging industrial city in Guangxi, the city will anchor the development direction of intelligent, green and integrated industries, build a "6+8+3" modern industrial system, and strive to achieve a steady increase in the proportion of industry in GDP by 2030, and the total industrial output value will move forward in Guangxi's ranking.
Yulin City will regard industry as the main starting point and main engine of high-quality development, focus on the planning and construction of high-energy park platforms and industrial projects, and expand and strengthen the six leading industrial chain groups of new materials, equipment manufacturing, spices and medicines, green food, textiles and clothing, forestry chemicals and paper industries, forming three hundred billion yuan (RMB, the same below) level industrial clusters; dislocation development Eight characteristic industrial clusters including ceramic building materials, toy creativity, kitchen appliances and home appliances, electronic information, green recycling, printing and packaging, bamboo weaving, and pet economy have formed a number of tens of billions of industries; accelerating the layout of three emerging industries and future industries: artificial intelligence, low-altitude economy, and new energy, cultivating new productive forces rich in Yulin characteristics, and forming new economic increments.
In terms of building a hub city linking the "Two Bays", Yulin City will further open up the transportation arteries integrated into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, unblock the microcirculation of interconnection between cities and counties, direct access to parks, and urban-rural integration, improve a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation system with efficient regional connections, rapid intercity access, and seamless conversion of road, rail, and water intermodal transport, build the "Eastern Corridor" of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor in Guangxi, and build a hub city that links the "Two Bays" and connects to ASEAN.
The city will focus on the three major tasks of "connecting canals, weaving water networks, and building hubs", promote projects such as the Xinyu Section of the South Yuzhu Expressway, the Yulin-Pubei Expressway, and two 200,000-ton berths in the Shawei operating area, expand direct air routes to domestic first-tier cities, improve the cargo collection and distribution system in and out of the park, promote the improvement of location advantages with the improvement of transportation infrastructure, and create an important platform for industrial transfer, talent gathering, and information sharing in the "Two Bays".

In recent years, Yulin City has built the Yulin Seaport Terminal through "borrowing land to build a port" and opened up access to the sea, achieving a historic transformation from an inland hinterland to an open frontier.
