Efe Mandıracı: "We present this cup to our community and fans"

After the match at Kırıkkale Central New Sports Hall, the cup was presented to the yellow-reds by the Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak and the President of the Turkish Volleyball Federation Mehmet Akif Üstündağ.

Galatasaray volleyball players shared their joy with their fans.

On the other hand, Canadian Stephen Maar was chosen as the most valuable player of the match.

Galatasaray spiker Efe Mandıracı, drawing attention to the importance of winning the cup at the beginning of the season, said, "We present this cup to our community, our fans. Now, we will determine our goals step by step and prepare for the first league match. We aspire to cups in every field. I know we can do our best. We showed today, we played a really good team game. I would like to thank our fans, our management, our technical team and my teammates. They should continue to follow us." he said.

Referring to the struggle of their opponents, Efe said, "We are aspiring for every cup. I think we gave this message in the match. Ziraat Bankkart fought really well, made great defenses. But we knew how to break the game, we managed to stay in the game. The season is a long marathon. As long as we are healthy, we aspire for the biggest of the cups. We want to make the great Galatasaray community and fans proud. They should not have any doubt that we will do our best." he said.

Yellow-Reds' cross-setter Jean Patry stated that he won his first cup with Galatasaray and said, "I am very happy to start the season with a new championship for Galatasaray. We are one of the best teams and we achieved a good championship, so it is very good to start the rest of the season like this." he said.

Underlining that they are assertive in all fields, Patry said, "We will try to do our best to win everything. I think the level of the league is higher than last season or two years ago. But our team is also at another level. We are better. I think we can do something great this season. We will see, we will fight." made his assessment.

Stating that the fans always support them, the French volleyball player said, "Galatasaray is a big family and they are always with us, which is great. We are very lucky to have such fans. They will help us achieve championships." He concluded his words by saying.

Recalling that Ziraat Bankkart was the last champion, American setter Micah Ma'a said, "It is the first match of the year as a new team, so it is for them too, so we knew we just wanted to fight and show our character. We know our volleyball will not be that good at these times, but I think we fought somehow, especially when they came very strong against us in the third set. We responded well." He commented:

Stating that they started the new season well, Ma'a expressed her happiness for winning the cup and said, "Volleyball is a game played match by match, so we still need to work to improve and get better throughout the year. I am excited. We have a really nice team, a nice group. So I hope we will enjoy it." he said.
