The first round of the 2026 Elections takes place this Sunday (4). In the region of Piracicaba (SP), 958,295 voters go to the polls to choose president, governor, senator and state and federal deputies who will administer Brazil for the next few years.

Voting takes place from 8am to 5pm, Brasília time, across the country. With that in mind, g1 Piracicaba and the region brought together everything you need to know to vote, check it out below:

How to check your polling location:

To find out where they should go to vote, voters must do a search on the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) website. When accessing the consultation page, simply fill in the fields with your CPF or voter registration number, date of birth and mother's name.

After clicking on "consult", the electoral address will appear, indicating the zone, section, address and municipality where the voter must go to register their vote.

It is also possible to consult through e-Título.

In Limeira, some voting locations were transferred to other units by the city council this year. Some of the changes are permanent and others are temporary. Check it out below:

Academic College voters: permanent transfer to CIEF Prof. Jamile Caram de Souza Dias, at Rua Rogério Augusto Castello, 285, Jardim Santa Adélia.

Sections of the São Benedito and São José schools: permanent transfer to Colégio Jandyra, at Rua Barão de Cascalho, 1,057, Centro, to guarantee better accessibility conditions.

Colégio Da Vinci: transfer to Emeief Major José Levy Sobrinho, at Rua Francisco Benedito Gonçalves de Oliveira, 38, Jardim Esteves. The section has 371 voters and the new location is 2.6 kilometers from the previous address.

Emeief Prada and Emeief Prof. Flora de Castro Rodrigues: temporary transfer to Colégio Portal de Limeira, at Avenida Saudades, 1.554, Centro, due to the fire in both units.

EE Prof. Margarida Paroli Soares: the ten sections will be temporarily transferred to Emeief Padre Maurício Sebastião Ferreira, at Rua João Pompeu Filho, 571, Jardim do Lago. The change occurs due to works. In total, 3,478 voters are served by the sections, and the new location is 3.8 kilometers from the previous one.

Special bus timetables

The cities of Limeira (SP), Piracicaba (SP) and Santa Bárbara d’Oeste (SP) will have free public transport this Sunday (4). The fleets will operate with the lines, routes and schedules normally practiced on weekdays.

In Piracicaba, free transport will be available from 4:40 am on Sunday until 0:10 am on Monday (5). It is not necessary to present a voter registration card or transport card to board.

In Limeira, the Urban Mobility Secretariat informs that public transport buses will operate at the same time as on weekdays, between 6am and 6pm. The bus itinerary must be consulted on the Sou Limeira website or through the system application.

Santa Bárbara d’Oeste also offers zero fares on election day. Public transport will operate between 6am and 6pm on Sunday.

What to take?

It is mandatory to present a personal document with a photo to prove your identity and have access to the ballot box, as well as signing the notebook and receiving proof of voting.

The voter registration card is not mandatory, but it contains the polling station, which makes it easier for citizens to know which room they are going to vote in.

The following documents are valid: identity card (RG), social identity, work card, national driver's license (CNH), passport or other document of equivalent legal value, professional category card recognized by law, such as OAB, CRM, CREA and other professional councils, reservist certificate (for cis or transgender men).

It is also possible to vote using just the e-Título app, as long as the app has a photo proving the voter's identity. If you do not have one, you must present another official document with a photo.

Documents will be accepted even if they are expired, as long as it is possible to identify the voter. Therefore, the birth certificate and marriage certificate are not valid for voting, as they do not have a photograph.

The voter can also take a piece of paper with electoral glue, with the numbers of their candidates written down.

Cell phone ban

The TSE informs that the use of cell phones, tablets, radio communicators, cameras, smart glasses and any other electronic devices that allow recording, transmitting or publicizing the voter's choice inside the voting booth is prohibited.

It is permitted to use the device to present the e-Título, but it must be handed over to the poll worker at the time of voting – it is illegal to photograph or film the voting process of yourself or third parties.

How to vote?

The voter must enter the number of the candidate chosen for each position in the electronic ballot box and check that the name and photo appear on the equipment correctly.

If it's wrong, just press the "correct" button and enter the correct number. When you press "confirm", the ballot box emits a sound confirming the vote for that candidate and it will no longer be possible to change it.

If the voter does not want to cast their vote for any candidate, they can press the "blank" button and then "confirm". According to the TSE, a blank vote is not counted as a valid vote, being recorded only for statistics.

There is also a null vote, which happens when the voter enters a number that does not correspond to any candidate or party and confirms the choice.

The voting order will be as follows: federal deputy (4 numbers), state deputy (5 numbers), senator – 1st vacancy (3 numbers), senator – 2nd vacancy (3 numbers), governor (2 numbers), president (2 numbers).
