2026 elections in Piauí: 2.7 million voters go to the polls

"A down-to-earth, eye-to-eye campaign, showing the reality of Piauí and defending a program that expresses a way out of the problems that the working class is involved in. The end of the 6 to 1 scale, the deprivatization of the State, the removal of OSS, outsourced healthcare providers, the withdrawal of private foundations and platforms within schools, returning the State to the population and the budget, so that we have quality public services and development of the State, with the nationalization of companies, and strategic sectors. We campaigned hand-to-hand, talking to workers, the population, public servants, retirees, youth, small and medium-sized landowners in the countryside and the city, and we built a strong campaign that will continue the fight. The election is just a battle", he commented.

The 2.7 million voters eligible to vote in Piauí will go to the polls this Sunday (4), in the first round of the 2026 elections. They will be able to choose between 323 candidacies approved by the Electoral Court for the positions of state deputy, federal deputy, senator, governor and president of the Republic. If necessary, the second round for president and governor will be held on October 25th.
